Guitar
From Rock to Jazz and Classical to R&B, we teach a variety of styles reflective of our instructors’ diverse musical backgrounds. Whether it’s shredding or mastering chords to your favorite song, no guitar technique or learning style is off-limits. Our instructors have extensive experience in live performance and session work, demonstrating a proven versatility under constantly changing circumstances. This versatility helps us in personalizing your lessons to your preferred style and tastes.
Violin
Our violin instructor JT has been playing for over a decade, learning under the tutelage of Perry Holbrook and Ashley Culley. He took part in a 2015 Czech Republic/Austria tour, performing at acclaimed halls like the Rudolphinum in Prague and the Schloss Esterházy in Eisenstadt. Nowadays, he performs regularly with cover bands around the southeast. A sure fit for both beginners and advanced students alike, JT has the experience to help your playing thrive.
Harp
The harp is another instrument Sy Sound has the privilege of playing and offering. Our instructor JT got his chops working for Artz for the Harp out of Powder Springs, GA. Under the mentorship of Lyrika Holmes, he studied both the Suzuki and Salzedo methods, beginning to teach after-school classes and private lessons after years of intensive practice. From classical to hip hop, we will help you master all of your favorites and more on this beautiful instrument!
Piano
Piano is Sy Sound’s most recent addition. We teach everything from Classical to Blues on it, emphasizing music theory and creativity at every turn. Indeed, it’s a wonderful instrument to learn the language of music on. Our instructors have classroom experience from Georgia State University’s jazz program as well as extensive live performance backgrounds.
